SACS recommends that the Accreditation Liaison not be the president. Rather, this individual should be a "senior faculty member or administrator who reports to the chief executive officer." This individual has a significant role in the internal review process as well as during intervening years when institutional profiles will require more attention to reporting. SACS envisions that this individual will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy of the information forwarded to the Commission, including coordinating the annual profiles and maintaining the accuracy of all information provided electronically.
