Quality Enhancement Plan Team
SACS Reaffirmation Calendar Quality Enhancement Plan Compliance Certification Reaffirmation Process SACS Reference Section

There are currently no SACS guidelines specifying a "standard" approach for the composition of the Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) team. It is clear that the QEP has to have a strong focus on student learning. Therefore, unlike Compliance Certification, which is seen as more of an administrative function, the QEP is seen as having much more faculty involvement.

Recommended Evolving QEP Teams:

QEP Planning Team

  • Ensure broad input into identification and selection of topic
  • Primary purpose: develop and implement a process that ensures broad university input into the identification, selection, and "acceptance" of the QEP topic
  • Should have breadth of coverage:
    1. all colleges
    2. representatives of various student functions
    3. expertise in student learning
  • Members should be knowledgeable of the strategic plan

QEP Development Team

  • Conduct research and write the plan

QEP Implementation Team

  • Manage the project and allocate resources
